Street Fighter V’s First Brand New Character – Necalli

Capcom recently released a trailer introducing Necalli, the first brand new character in Street Fighter V. Necalli appears to have a very barbaric, savage fighting style, using command grabs, claw attacks and ground-pounding stomps to brutalise his opponents. His style actually appears to owe a lot to Wolverine in Capcom’s Marvel Vs Capcom series, since Necalli’s Critical Art is very similar to Wolverine’s “Berserker Barrage X” super combo.

According to the PlayStation blog, reporting on the Capcom panel at EVO 2015, Necalli is one of four new characters to the Street Fighter series, joining a core roster of sixteen characters at SFV’s launch. The other three new characters have yet to be announced. If sixteen characters sounds like too few for your fighting game needs, another announcement from EVO 2015 is that all “post-launch gameplay related content” (DLC) can be acquired for free by earning in-game fight money to buy them with.

Necalli

Street Fighter V will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC. The PlayStation 4 beta begins on July 23rd for players in North America who have preordered the game and players in Europe who sign up on the Street Fighter V website. However, Necalli will not be one of the playable characters during the beta. There will be a PC beta later in the year.
