Nintendo have today sent out a major press release confirming dates across both North America & Europe for their remaining upcoming titles on Wii U this year. Both Starfox Zero & Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash will fall on the same day on November 20th in both major regions. Devil’s Third, with its on-off speculation about it even coming to the states finally has a confirmation of December 11th in North America – Europe getting their hands on the hack-and-slash-SLASH-shooter later this week on August 28th.
Other third party titles come in the form of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water which will see an eShop-only release on October 22nd in North America with the game creeping up to European shores on October 30th. The first chapter, as well as parts to the following second chapter, will be available for free for players to try out before purchase. Xenoblade Chronicles X, despite a solid December 4th date for North America has been somewhat up in the air for Europe up until now – December this year being the only real confirmation we’ve had since E3. However, Nintendo have also confirmed we Brits and Europeans will be able to play Monolithsoft’s spiritual successor to the Wii JRPG on the same day as our American counterparts. Finally on big releases, Super Mario Maker, with its September 11th date looming, has been given an exclusive bundle which comes with a copy of the game, an Idea Book as it’s called, as well as a 30th Anniversary Mario Modern Colour Amiibo.
Other news today includes a bundle of both New Super Mario Bros U and its Luigi counterpart to be sold together, as well as news of a Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo – with a North America release on November 15th – which sees Nintendo’s lovable dinosaur even bigger and even more adorable to own should you have missed out on claiming any of the original yarn amiibo’s that coincided with Woolly World‘s original release here in Europe. Woolly World is still set meanwhile for an October 16th release in North America. All of this, of course, comes mere moments following the announcement Pokken Tournament will be getting a Western release in Spring of next year. Plenty more titles are expected from here to New Year’s on both Wii U & 3DS. Stay tuned as we try to keep on top of the inevitable surge of games.
