One internet denizen Ryan whom goes by the online handle of U2NUMB has taken it upon himself to tackle the gargantuan task of recording, archiving and uploading as many video game start up sequences and title screens as he can.
The project titled PressStartOnce has just hit a milestone of having 1000 BootUp/TitleScreen videos uploaded to their Youtube Channel

Three years ago I started a little side project on something that I have always enjoyed. For some reason title screens of all sorts (Movies, Album Art, etc..) have always interested me. I think when done well they set the mood and especially with video games really set the game in motion. I remember letting the Halo title screen just go on and on while doing other things in the house.
So my project involved capturing as many video game start up and title screens as I could get my hands on. Today I uploaded my 1000th title screen to my youtube channel dedicated 100% to title screens from video games.
Some of you may that think such an undertaking is a little excessive, with the man himself even saying that he “fully expects many ‘what a waste of time’ comments” but I personally believe what he’s doing has great merit, especially considering the art of good video game boot ups and title screens is a oft unappreciated aspect of games.
Cameron Askin, a digital designer from Berlin has a website with a similar goal as Ryan, albeit being smaller in scope project that is highly curated and specifically for 16/8bit games called TitleScream.
My personal favourite title screen on the channel is that of the beautiful Xenoblade Chronicles:
