65daysofstatic have now announced details on the release of the official soundtrack album for the highly anticipated game No Man’s Sky. The name of the album will be ‘No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe.’ It will comprise of 10 songs that make up the official soundtrack to No Man’s Sky along with an additional collection of soundscapes and sound design, exclusive to this release. They’ve posted a new track online, the first full taster from the album.
‘Supermoon’ is definitively 65daysofstatic but I feel like the structure and organic sound (for a band that’s usually quite electronic) make Supermoon probably the most ‘post-rock’ track the band have done in their career so far.
The album will be released on 17th June via Laced Records, one week before the release of No Man’s Sky on PC and PS4 on June 24th. Listed below are a few UK shows the band has lined up leading towards these release dates where they will probably be performing songs from the No Man’s Sky soundtrack:
28th April – 02 Academy 2, Liverpool
29th April – Handmade Festival, Leicester
30th April – Trades Club, Hebden Bride
5th May – Dunk Festival, Belgium
24th July – Bluedot Festival, Manchester
