Grow Home by Ubisoft Reflections has become the first title chosen by gamers in a vote to decide a new addition to PlayStation Plus. The 3D platformer beat out Zombie Vikings (from the studio behind Stick it to the Man), and furry RPG board game Armello. Winning the player vote means that Grow Home will be one of the games added to PlayStation Plus’ Instant Game Collection in September. The other two games will be available with a 30% discount for Plus members throughout September. This “Vote to Play” scheme will take place at regular intervals during the year according to Sony.
The PlayStation Blog also took the time today to reveal the full September line-up of PlayStation Plus games. Joining Grow Home is Super Time Force Ultra for PlayStation 4 and Vita. 2D retro game Xeodrifter will also be available in PS4 and Vita libraries. Puzzle-platformer Teslagrad is free for subscribers on PS4 and PS3, while 2012’s vehicle combat game Twisted Metal is coming for PS3 owners, and brutal Japanese indie game La-Mulana EX is an exclusive to Vita players.
All of these games will be added to the Instant Game Collection on the 1st of September. PlayStation Plus subscribers still have one more week to get August’s line-up including God of War: Ascension, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris in their library.
