The current-generation remaster of the original 2012 title, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, had its full details confirmed today following its announcement at Bethesda’s E3 conference. The Xbox One & PS4 title will be released on August 25th in North America, with Europe getting the game a few days later on 28th. In a press release put out earlier today, it was confirmed that all of the game’s add-on DLC content would be included along with updated graphics and controls. That’s the official cover art below.
“Dishonored – the recipient of over 100 Game of the Year awards – is an immersive first-person action game that casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. With Dishonored’s flexible combat system, creatively eliminate your targets as you combine the supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue your enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.”
As for the sequel, Dishonored 2, both Arkane Studios & Bethesda Softworks have still yet to offer up any key info other than a Spring 2016 release window as well as tad bit of background to the game’s story. Set 15 years after Lord Regent had been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague passed into history, an otherworldly usurper has seized the throne from Empress Emily Kaldwin – the new female protagonist – leaving the fate of the Isles hanging in the balance. Players will be able to control either her or Corvo Attano.
