Spike Chunsoft have revealed that cult visual novel Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will be receiving a PC port this February. The game follows a class of high school students locked in the twisted Hope’s Peak Academy. Imprisoned by maniacal robotic teddy bear Monokuma, the classmates’ only possible means of escape is to commit the perfect murder – to kill one of their peers without being found out by the rest of the class. Players get to converse and build a relationship with each character, as well as participate in intense Class Trials to determine who among them could be a murderer.
Initially released for the PSP in 2010 only in Japan, Danganronpa has went on to spawn a sequel, an action game spin-off, and an anime adaptation. The game finally made its way West in 2014 for the PlayStation Vita, and now that enhanced version of the game will be coming to PC sometime next month. You can check out Spike Chunsoft’s announcement trailer below to see what the PC version will look like. The trailer uses the English voices, but the game will also offer its original Japanese voice acting.
